The reality of reality…

If you have been tuning in to the Ultimate Fighter every wednesday night, you probably are wondering, why doesn’t Rampage just punch Rashad “The cocky fool” Evans in the face already. You might also be wondering why most of Team Rampage’s fighters seem to be walking into the cage and laying giant eggs instead of fighting to their capabilities. Well my friends welcome to reality television. T.U.F. unlike the majority of reality tv shows, stays very true to reality, it is NOT scripted.  We(Team Rampage) were very happy with the fighters we picked, regardless of there fighting abilities, because everyone got along and worked well together. In the short time we had with these guys, it was extremely difficult to help train and teach them, especially because more than half our team had very little mma experience. Out of the fighters who did come prepared for war and had mma fights under their belts, we thought we were in a great position to win every fight on the show.

With this show being a “reality show”, keep in mind that there are many different ways they can edit. For example, we were 10 minutes late for Demico when they made it look like we had stranded him for hours before his fight. Also we didn’t feel it was necessary to enter the cage to tell him everything is gonna be ok, because it wasn’t. He had put himself in a bad position by being flat on his stomach and allowing Brendan choke the shit out of him……. or to tell Wes Sims, “hey buddy way to go you just blew your chance to be back in the UFC!”, by freezing up and not listening to the game plan. These are grown ass men and don’t need to be consoled and lied to, the fact of the matter is that they need to train their asses off and get better before entering the competition. Not expect to learn everything in 6 fuckin weeks! All the while Rashad just tries to act like he is a great coach, and their team is winning because of the coaches, and discrediting the fighters from Team Rashad. He is a fake ass dude and fans can see right through it.

Rampage is the first person to say that he is not a coach, thats why he brought in people such as myself, Hector “Sick Dog” Ramirez, Waldomiro Perez(Junior), And Tom Blackledge, to help him coach. At the end of the day Rampage makes the final decisions and he is the head coach. We are up against former T.U.F. winner Rashad, who seems to be favored, by getting the better training times and having a team full of dudes that didn’t have to tryout to make it on to T.U.F. But don’t worry because we are about to make his experience here an uncomfortable one. Muhahahahahahahhahahaha!!!!!

  1. “.. and having a team full of dudes that didn’t have to tryout to make it on to T.U.F.” – Say what? Rashad didn’t get handed these fighters, he and Rampage BOTH got to PICK who they wanted on their teams didn’t they? Page could have easily picked some of the same guys that Rashad has, but instead seems to have gone after size only.

  2. James McSweeny and Brandon Schaub trained with Grey Jackson’s camp and did not have to try out for T.U.F. they were automatically accepted.

We didn’t know who these guys were, so in the evaluation they sandbagged it and pretended that they had weak cardio and technique. They were also Rashad’s first and second pick.

I hope this answers any questions…

  3. for 2 guys who did not have to prove themselves THEY FUCKEN SUCK, im surprised that greg jackson even allowed them to represent that camp on the show…..let kimbo get a piece of their asses…….by the way WHO THE HELL IS THAT LITTLE turd of a whiteboy that rashad has as a coach fucken TWEETY BIRD (that’s what we call him in ORANGE COUNTY cant stand that mothafucker….)keep on doin what your doin……big ups from ORANGE COUNTY!!!! by the way the show is called THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER not THE ULTIMATE CONSOLER……….

  4. ahh the things they don’t show you, or will show you in editing :) . I’d like to think that Page is not THAT bad of a coach, but they sure make him out to be horrible. This type of editing starts to make you realize why he is pissed at the UFC right now. Why would he want to fight for an org that is making him look like a chump? The Page/Rashad fight has fireworks and $$$ written all over it, but it would be hard to get excited for a fight when the organization seems to be beating you down and making you look stupid.

  5. laaame man… As far as this statement goes: “But don’t worry because we are about to make his experience here an uncomfortable one. Muhahahahahahahhahahaha!!!!!” that might mean something on the show, but PLEASE Tiki!! PLEASE for the love of God, tell Rampage to get back in the octagon sometime next year and split Rashad wide open!! I CANNOT STAND HIM!! I cannot tell you how happy I would be if they really fought. And you’re right, the fans see right through it, WAR RAMPAGE!!

  6. Shut up loser quit making excuses!!! Rampages and your pathetic character truly comes out on the show and reveals how lame and ugly u both r. Id beat your face in just dont want any ugly on my hands.

  7. Tiki-

I have always liked you guys- but whats the deal with leaving your fighters in the cage after they’ve lost?

If I got knocked the fuck out, or choked out and I when I came to my opponent’s coach was helping me up I would seriously be like WTF?! I just don’t understand it.

  8. I realize that there is all kinds of spin that can (and undoubtedly was) done in post production…but you gotta admit they did a pretty phenomenal job of it. They have managed to get me to do a complete 180 on both Rampage and Rashad. When the season began, had a well-developed dislike for the overrated, over-hyped, Showboat Rashad and a longstanding admiration and respect for Rampage. Not only did I see him as an amazing fighter, but also as a really funny, say-what-he-means, walking, talking soundbyte. At this stage, Rashad comes off looking like the professional, seasoned vet and Rampage is beginnin’ to look like a punk. What’s up with that?

I keep hearing it repeate ad nausium, that’Page went out of his way to explain, “…I’m a fighter…not a coach…”…but apparently he’s a movie star now and not really a fighter either.
